Does the Internet cause pollution?
All devices running an internet need electricity and electricity comes from a power plant where electricity is made from coal or gas, so watching our 30 minute video is responsible for the emission of 1 point 6 kg of carbon dioxide. Data centers that give you video streaming services also use a lot of power to keep themselves on. Datacenters and servers that keep data away, which fully support the Internet, also consume more electricity. The essence of saying is that the more the internet is used, the more electricity will be consumed and there will be pollution, so there is pollution from the internet but not in a direct way but in an indirect way.
